一直使用ThunderBird收发邮件，昨天突然发现ThunderBird的一个奇葩特性：自动转换文本附件的换行方式为windows下的\r\n。
事情是这样的：我用ThunderBird发送了一个patch给同事，这个patch打的时候提示："Stripping trailing CRs from patch." 看意思是patch里面多了CR(\r)。这个真是奇怪。一番费力排查，确定是ThunderBird在发送附件的时候进行了转换。
这个特性未免过于奇葩：不考虑收发邮件双方的情况，总是进行这个转换。更奇葩的是，我使用的是Linux上的ThunderBird，这个特性也是默认打开的。
就认为ThunderBird的开发人员在考虑这个特性的时候脑袋进水了吧，更重要的是如何关了这玩意。放狗搜了半天没结果，ThunderBird的首选项里也没找到，只好打开ThunderBird的配置编辑器碰碰运气了。
在配置编辑器里面尝试输入attach，然后看到有个“mail.file_attach_binary”，默认是false，修改成true，重新发邮件，问题解决！
虽然问题解决了，但对ThunderBird很失望，居然有这种问题。抽时间去ThunderBird那边报bug试试。
